Under the UK Counter Terrorism policy, Borough Councils have a duty to ensure their residents are safeguarded from being radicalised through exposure to extremist materials and groups. Many services have a key roles to play in this, due to your regular interaction with residents either directly or through provision of services. It is important you are able to recognise the signs of radicalisation, know what to do should you have any concerns about an individual or a group, and consider responsibilities you may have under Prevent when delivering services.
