New developments can come with planning constraints, conditions and requirements around emergency preparedness. For construction developers who don't work in the resilience industry every day, putting these documents together in a way which will work for all parties (and be truly effective in an emergency) can be a minefield. Our background working with local authorities and others makes us perfectly placed to provide developers with the fast, pragmatic and effective support they need to keep the process moving. If you're not sure if we can help, let's talk.
Flood Evacuation Plans
Perhaps the most common type of emergency plan encountered by developers, flood evacuation plans apply to sites where there is a flood risk and no obviously reliable routes in and out during a flood. Flood evacuation plans focus on how residents and tenant businesses on the site will be warned of flooding, and the steps needed to keep them safe.
Site Evacuation Plans
Just as some sites are at risk of flooding, others will face different risks. If that risk is significant enough, you might find that planning conditions are put in place to ensure the site has an evacuation plan before it becomes operational. Risks in these cases might include industrial activity or major infrastructure situated very close to the site.
Any business can be adversely affected by disruption, whether that's a major incident, severe weather, or serious economic instability. A business continuity plan helps you navigate those tricky periods, making sure you can continue providing your key services (and stay in business) until the situation settles.
