Education

Major emergencies in schools, colleges and other education settings are thankfully uncommon, but when they do happen they are often high profile and serious. Add to that the day-to-day resilience issues like bad weather which cause inconvenience to schools and parents alike, plus the growing demands of the Prevent agenda, and you start to see the importance of having really practical business continuity, emergency response and Prevent arrangements in place.

Our flexible approach supports you in a pragmatic way, picking up on your priorities and experiences rather than selling you a one-size-fits-all package. Whether you need help writing your plans and procedures, or support training your staff and governors to know what those documents say (before they need to use them!), get in touch.

How We Can Help

Education

Health Checks

Not sure how well prepared your education setting is for the unexpected? We can run a health check of your arrangements, giving you a confidential snapshot of your preparedness along with a bespoke series of simple recommendations and a priority rating for each - helping you prioritise what is most urgent and what can wait.

Education

Tabletop Exercise

Do you have an emergency plan? Plans need to be tested. We create realistic emergency scenarios to explore your response, your arrangements, your strengths and challenges. At the end of the session, we'll provide you with a confidential summary report, complete with suggestions of what you can do to strengthen your arrangements.

Education

EMERGENCY PLANS

Most effective managers know how to take sensible actions in an emergency. However, a real emergency is not something you experience often and panic and assumptions can make plans useless, or even hinder the response. We've developed simple but effective templates so you can get your response right.

Education

TRAINING

In our experience, most plans get written, updated and left on a shelf. It's not realistic to expect people to know what they should do straight away in an emergency if they haven't been trained or had a chance to practise. We offer a range of flexible training and exercises to make sure your arrangements are properly embedded.

Other Services

Emergency Support

Emergencies can mean a lot of work, and a lot of pressure on a few key people. If you'd like to be able to call on emergency management experts when you need them most, why not consider an on-call arrangement with us? Our team offer incident management support 24/7, 365 days a year.

Education

Prevent

Demands on schools always seem to be increasing, and the Prevent agenda is both crucial to national security, and an additional burden on schools. We work with organisations who have responsibilities under Prevent, supporting them to fulfil their requirements. For schools, we provide both frontline, general awareness for staff, and governor training.
