Mass Homelessness in an Emergency - Join the Conversation

Applied Resilience, will be hosting a 1-day workshop for key stakeholders to come together to discuss the processes in place for managing the challenges of post-emergency mass homelessness in Surrey.

Local authorities, the private sector and the voluntary sector can collectively play a huge part in meeting the needs of people made homeless by emergencies such as fires and flooding.

Working together and understanding local arrangements in place for managing mass homeless ahead of emergencies is essential to our response.

AIM

_To explore Surrey's capability for managing a major emergency including mass
homelessness within the immediate to medium-term response phase_

Key Objectives:
Test local arrangements for welfare needs, shelter and rehousing
Explore the local application of the EU Mass Shelter Capability Project's assumptions and
outputs
Explore the processes in place for the management of volunteers and donations
Explore the communication processes in place between the police, survivors and next of kin
