Jacob brings over a decade of experience in local government, supporting the planning and delivery of major events including RideLondon and the London Olympics, and contributing to Strategic Coordinating Group (SCG) operations during major incidents. This background provides a strong foundation in multi-agency coordination, operational delivery and resilience planning.
He is also a highly qualified water safety and rescue specialist, holding a broad range of professional certifications spanning emergency medical response, swiftwater and flood rescue, diving leadership, powerboat operation and water safety instruction. His qualifications include Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Swiftwater and Flood Water Rescue Technician, PADI Divemaster, RLSS Water Safety Instructor, First Responder Trainer and RYA Powerboat Instructor.
Jacob has delivered water safety services across industry, major events and the TV and film sector, with experience on projects such as HS2, Swim Serpentine and productions including Mission: Impossible.
He now applies this combined operational and technical expertise to deliver high-quality water safety training, exercising and practical support to Applied Resilience clients. His calm, professional approach and hands-on capability make him a valuable asset across a wide range of preparedness and response activities.
