Who We Are
Applied Resilience are a Public Service Mutual (PSM) delivering emergency planning, business continuity, counter terrorism and security services to all sectors.
How your personal data will be used
We hold and process personal data about you in order to deliver and improve our services.
We usually keep this information for no longer than is absolutely necessary. How your data will be used, stored and deleted will depend on the reason it was collected. For example, we may collect and process your data on behalf a client or partner (such as a Local Authority or Business we work with under contract), for the purposes of booking you onto courses or responding to business related work enquiries. Where we collect and process your data and the reasons for it, will be made clear beforehand, either to you directly or by your employer, as part of a contractual agreement.
We will only share personal data with others when we are legally permitted to do so. When we share data with others, we put contractual arrangements and security mechanmisms in place as appropriate to protect the data and to comply with our data protection, confidentiality and security standards.
We use third parties to support us in provide, run and manage our internal IT systems. For example, providers of information technology, cloud based software, website hosting and management, data back up, security and storage services. We have assessed each of these organisations to have a strong commitment to data privacy, have contractual agreements in place for the use of their services and all have clearly defined data privacy and security and information management policies and procedures.

Your rights
You have a number of rights with regards to how your data is protected.
By providing us with your information you will have the right to access and rectify your personal details. If you did wish to access your data, you shall have the right to view or receive a copy of the information in a commonly used format such as a pdf document or an e-mail. Any information which is processed by automated means and is purely required for the performance of a contract, may be transmitted to another data controller if you request it. You may also have the right to ask for the processing of your personal data to be restricted or even erased. Whether or not you exercise the right to erasure, the Company will erase your personal data in certain situations and particularly when the data is no longer required.
Objections
At any time. you may have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where processing is conducted for: legitimate business reasons/ matters in the public interest/ direct marketing. If you exercise this right, then unless we have compelling reasons not to, we shall cease to process your data wherever data protection laws allow.
