Bio
Ruby Kirton-Vaughan is a resilience and emergency planning specialist with expertise in crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response.
She holds a Master’s degree in Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Portsmouth, where she gained skills in Emergency Management & Planning, Geoinformatics, and Governance. She first entered the resilience sector as a Business Support Officer for the Surrey Local Resilience Forum, developing strong industry connections.
Ruby then worked as an Emergency Planning Officer at Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, where she supported training, exercised emergency plans, and gained hands-on experience responding to incidents.
Currently, as an Incident Management & Resilience Specialist at Applied Resilience, Ruby collaborates with multiple borough councils, delivers emergency response training, and facilitates exercises.
She is passionate about strategic incident management and innovative resilience solutions, continually enhancing her expertise in the field..
