Bio
Camilla is an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) specialist with more than 20 years’ experience across London local government and the NHS. She works with NHS and health partners on meeting the NHS EPRR Core Standards and on making sure their arrangements hold up in a real incident.
Camilla has extensive hands-on response experience. This includes the response to the Grenfell Tower fire and its longer-term recovery, and several of the 2017 terror attacks, where she was Borough Tactical On-Call for the Parsons Green incident. She also staffed the operations centre during the London 2012 Olympics. Throughout, she worked closely with multi-agency partners through the London Resilience Forum including health, police, fire, and local authorities.
She began her career in community safety with the London Boroughs of Merton and Hammersmith & Fulham, building a strong foundation in multi-agency working before moving into emergency planning and business continuity. As EPRR Lead at Great Ormond Street Hospital she was responsible for resilience across the whole Trust, from organisation-wide arrangements down to individual ward and department plans. Throughout COVID-19 she was the Trust’s sole Tactical Adviser, leading its planning, response and delivery. She also brought the Trust to ‘Green’ EPRR assurance compliance for the first time and introduced structured training for Strategic Leaders and Loggists.
As part of the team, Camilla provides ongoing specialist support to healthcare organisations, covering EPRR assurance, plan development, training and exercising, and incident response. She works as part of client teams, adapting their arrangements as risks and requirements change. With Applied Resilience she has helped a national provider of community health services and a Surrey community health provider achieve strongly positive assurance outcomes. She has also co-designed and delivered strategic leadership training for senior healthcare leaders. Her approach is calm and practical, and her training works for audiences from frontline staff to board level.
