Flood Evacuation Plans
Perhaps the most common type of emergency plan encountered by developers, flood evacuation plans apply to sites where there is a flood risk and no obviously reliable routes in and out during a flood. Flood evacuation plans focus on how residents and tenant businesses on the site will be warned of flooding, and the steps needed to keep them safe.
Site Evacuation Plans
Just as some sites are at risk of flooding, others will face different risks. If that risk is significant enough, you might find that planning conditions are put in place to ensure the site has an evacuation plan before it becomes operational. Risks in these cases might include industrial activity or major infrastructure situated very close to the site.
